How laser scanning helps design and build teams
Construction laser scanning replaces those assumptions with one measured record. Every project starts with a 3D laser scanning survey, registered to 2–6 mm and measured against a total-station control network. Everything below is built from that one dataset.
Existing-condition surveys
We draw measured floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations and sections from the scan, so renovation and adaptive reuse start from what is really there. See as-built survey and drawing services.
Coordination models for design teams
We build a Revit model from the scan: LOD 200–300 for coordination, and LOD 350 where fabrication depends on it. Architects, engineers and MEP teams design and coordinate against the same model. Capture around your schedule
Capture ranges from about 20,000 sq ft a day in dense interiors like apartments, up to 200,000 sq ft a day in open spaces such as workshops or outdoor sites. We work around operations on occupied and live sites, with nights and weekends on request. Where a site needs aerial capture, we add drone photogrammetry services.
Construction progress capture
Progress capture repeats the scan through construction and closeout. Each capture is a measured record of the work in place, so installed work can be checked against the model and the building is documented at closeout.
Progress scans are delivered as point clouds and come with a registration report. The stages are agreed in your quote.
